The office is where most office workers spend the most time. Long hours in front of computers or working with documents will lead to excessive eye strain, so suitable office lamps are particularly important. Good lighting can give workers the greatest comfort, so what factors will affect office lighting?
The illuminance of office lamps, illuminance is a parameter that describes the luminous flux per unit area of a surface, and is a unit that reflects the intensity of light, and the unit of measurement is lux (lx). According to the national standard GB50034-2013, in ordinary offices, the standard value of illuminance on the work surface is 300lx, and the illuminance of the background area of the work surface should generally not be lower than 1/3 of the illuminance of the adjacent area of the work surface. In layman's terms, the illuminance of adjacent functional areas should not differ by three times.
Brightness refers to the luminous intensity of the light source, which can be directly felt by vision. Simply put, it means "how bright a place looks", and good lighting needs to provide appropriate adaptive brightness to ensure the comfort of the human eye. A certain uniformity must be ensured between illumination and brightness. If there is insufficient light in the office, you can try the following methods:
Replace the light source of office lamps and use energy-saving and eye-protecting LED lamps to replace fluorescent tubes with poor light sources;
Replace bulbs regularly, because old bulbs emit less light than new bulbs;
Clean lamps regularly, and dirt and dust on lamps will reduce the amount of light emitted;
Light-colored walls and ceilings are more conducive to the reflection of office lamps;
Reflected light and local lighting can be used to eliminate shadows.
Color temperature is a unit of measurement that indicates the color component contained in light, and the unit of measurement is Kelvin (K). Too low color temperature will make people sleepy, while too high color temperature will make people too excited and may also cause blue light hazards. Therefore, in the selection of office lamps, it is generally recommended to use neutral light, that is, a color temperature light source of about 4000K.
